Barendorf is a district of the town Dassow in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

geography

The place is seven kilometers north of Dassow. The Barendorf district extends in the north to the Bay of Lübeck and has a beach and shore portion on the Baltic Sea of less than two kilometers. A contiguous area on the edges of the district in the west, north and northeast belongs to the coastal landscape nature reserve between Priwall and Barendorf with the Harkenbäkniederung . The small brook Harkenbäk forms in large parts the western boundary of the district. Its mouth, however, lies in the Rosenhagen district.

The neighboring towns are Groß Schwansee and Klein Schwansee in the northeast, Kalkhorst in the east, Neuenhagen and Harkensee in the southeast, Feldhusen and Pötenitz in the southwest and Rosenhagen in the west.
