Bastardizer is an Australian black and thrash metal band from Sydney that was founded in 2013.

history

The band was formed in early 2013, after which the debut album Enforcers of Evil was released via Heavy Forces Records in early 2014 . In May the group appeared in Sydney as the opening act for Origin and Morbid Angel . The band has played in Australia, New Zealand and Asia so far , performing with groups such as Hobbs' Angel of Deathm Deströyer 666 , Tribulation , Midnight , Toxic Holocaust and Coroner .

style

According to Brian Giffin in his Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal , the band plays a mix of black and thrash metal. Bart Gabriel from voicesfromthedarkside.de wrote in his review of Enforcers of Evil that in addition to the influences mentioned by the band such as Darkthrone , Gospel of the Horns and Toxic Holocaust, Midnight, Gehennah and the riffs of Hellhammer could also be mentioned. In the music, the group processed additional influences from rock 'n' roll and punk . The group forego solos , melodies or technical demands. Instead, it is straightforward, simple, evil, loud and wet and cheerful. Shawn Miller of metal-observer.com said in his review of the split release with Whipstriker that the closest thing to Bastardizer's part is Bathory's debut album as a reference, as the music is fast, aggressive and full of Thrash and Black Metal elements . It would awaken memories of Nocturnal , Aura Noir and early Sodom . The vocals consist of deep growls , while the drums sound borrowed from the D-beat .
