Beş Yıl Önce, On Yıl Sonra ( Turkish : five years earlier, ten years later) was a Turkish band from the 1980s.

Career

You represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 with the song Halay and took twelfth place, which was a good ranking for this country at the time.

The members were Nilgün Onatkut, Atakan Ünüvar, Mehmet Horoz, and Şebgün Tansel.

Interestingly, one can draw parallels from the group name to the Turkish participation in Eurovision, because there were no Turkish competition titles five years before their appearance (1979) and ten years after (1994).
