Can Bonomo (born May 16, 1987 in Izmir ) is a Turkish singer. He represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 .

life and career

Bonomo's family comes from the Sephardic Jews who found refuge from the Spanish Inquisition in the 15th century in the Ottoman Empire . The bonomos settled in Izmir. Bonomo has been playing the guitar since he was eight. In 2011 he released his first album Meczup .

With the English-language song Love Me Back , he made it into the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku two days later . There he finished 7th with 112 points.
