Before I Forget is a song by American Metal - band Slipknot . It was released on June 13, 2005 as the fourth single from the album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) .

Music video

The music video is about 30 seconds shorter than the album version of the song. The video clip was shot under the direction of Tony Petrossian , who was previously involved in the Slipknot videos for Duality , Vermilion and Vermilion Pt. 2 directed. The video shows the band members performing the song without masks and overalls. The faces of the band members can never be seen in full, only sections of, for example, the nose, mouth or eyes.

Awards and live performance

The song was awarded at the 48th Grammy Awards on February 8, 2006 in the Best Metal Performance category, where it was able to prevail against Ministry and Rammstein , among others . It is the only Grammy award to date for Slipknot. Before I Forget has been played regularly at Slipknot concerts since its release. To date, the piece has been performed live over 200 times.
