Sidney George "Sid" Wilson (born January 20, 1978 in Des Moines , Iowa ) is an American musician and the DJ of the nu-metal band Slipknot , who is also known as DJ Starscream outside the band . He is originally English, but his family moved to the United States before he was born. He was the youngest member of the band until Jay Weinberg joined the band in 2014 (24). During a show at the 2008 Mayhem Festival , Wilson jumped off stage equipment and broke both heels.
