Bekana Daba

Bekana Daba (born July 29, 1988 in Wollega ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

At the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, he was eliminated over 5000 m in the preliminary run. In 2009 he won the Carlsbad 5000 , but again did not get past the preliminary round of the 5000 meter run at the World Championships in Berlin . At the end of the season he won the Las Vegas Marathon on the half marathon route .

In 2010 he finished fourth in the New York City Half Marathon and twelfth in the Amsterdam Marathon . In 2011 he set a course record in the Houston Marathon .

Bekana Daba is trained by Tolosa Kotu and supervised by Global Athletics & Marketing .
