Benton is a city and county seat of Saline County in the US -amerikanischen State Arkansas with 30,681 inhabitants ( 2010 census ). The urban area has a size of 47.8 km². Benton was first settled in 1833 and is named after Thomas Hart Benton , Senator from Missouri .
