Bercken is the name of a Westphalian - Baltic - Prussian noble family.

history

The Bercken are a Westphalian noble family and were first mentioned in a document in 1354 with Gobelinus de Bercke, a Cologne patrician . The origin of the family is believed to be in a knight's seat in the Altena district, where two farms were named Bercken until recently . In the 16th century, the Bercks appointed judges more often . They moved to Courland , where in 1631 they were enrolled in the second class of the Courland Knight Bank . From there they immigrated to Prussia , where they practiced numerous soldiers .
