Bernd Träger (born March 26, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German journalist , radio and television reporter , moderator for politics , culture , sport and current affairs .

biography

Bernd Täger grew up in Berlin .

After passing the aptitude test before the equal examination committee of the German Stage Association , under the direction of Hilde Körber , director of the Max Reinhardts seminar and the actor  Rudolf Fernau , he attended the Marlise Ludwig drama school  (Berlin). He then completed training as a broadcaster at the broadcaster Free Berlin / SFB (Studio Maria Will) and the director Helmut Ziegner ( RIAS Berlin).

From 1963 he worked as a freelance reporter for radio in the American sector / RIAS Berlin ( radio and sports).

In protest against the Vietnam War the United States he finished the activity for the RIAS.

In the period that followed, Bernd Träger worked as an assistant director, production assistant, director, voice actor , production manager for various German production companies .

From 1972 he continued his journalistic work at the Sender Freies Berlin / SFB as a freelance reporter and commentator.

In 1976 he was permanently employed at the SFB as an independent reporter with a moderation obligation in the sports departments / politics and current affairs department.

Bernd Träger was the author and presenter of the series "Standpunkte" in the first television program (ARD / SFB).

From 1982 to 1991 Bernd Träger was the first editor , head of the political television editorial team of Norddeutscher Rundfunk / NDR in Hanover and moderator of the " Niedersachsenforum " series, moderator of the program " Hallo Niedersachsen ", parliamentary reporter from the Lower Saxony state parliament , moderator of the program "Sport 3" and " Sportschau der Nordschau ".

From 1991 to 1993 he was head of the television division and deputy to the state broadcasting house director at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk / MDR in Magdeburg .

Bernd Träger is married and lives in Berlin.
