The Bierbach is an almost three kilometer long, left and western tributary of the Gersprenz in the Odenwald .

The Bierbach rises in the northern Odenwald at an altitude of about 228  m above sea level. NHN west of the hamlet of Bierbach belonging to the Brensbach district of Wersau .

On its course to the east, the stream marks the border between Wersau in the north and Franconian-Crumbach in the south. The only settlement on this body of water is the hamlet of Bierbach.

The Bierbach finally flows into Brensbach at an altitude of about 173  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Gersprenz .

Its 1.4 km long run ends about 55 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of about 19 ‰.

Catchment area

The influence area of ​​the Bierbach lies in the Gersprenztal and Gersprenzgrund and is drained to the North Sea via the Gersprenz, the Main and the Rhine .
