Reviews

  • Cinema writes: The director "cannot hide the script weaknesses with attractive pictures."
  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times (February 17, 1989) that the film was simultaneously a spy thriller, a film about friendship, a musical, a comedy and a clever film about human nature. He is mostly charming and entertaining. The role of Xavier Quinn is one of the roles that would make an actor a star "overnight". Washington proves itself just as well in action scenes as in romantic scenes. The critic also praised the direction by the Swiss Carl Schenkel.

Remarks

The film was shot in Jamaica . It brought the producers in US theaters $ 4.6 million.
