The BIKE Four Peaks (until 2012 BIKE Trans Germany ) is a by bike magazine hosted a mountain bike - stage race for single riders. The race takes place annually in June on changing routes.

history

The first BIKE Trans Germany was held in 2007. Under the motto "from West to East", around 300 teams of two drove from St. Wendel over eight stages to Oberwiesenthal . In 2008 and 2009 it led from Erbach , over seven stages, via Frammersbach , Bischofsheim , Oberhof , Bad Steben , Schöneck and Oberwiesenthal to Seiffen . In 2009, the BIKE Trans Germany was held for the first time as a race for individual starters with a separate team classification.

The BIKE Trans Germany is a mountain bike stage race for single starters over four stages. It is divided into four different categories:

  • Men
  • Women
  • Master's (total age in the team is more than 80 years)
  • Senior Master (in the team a total age of more than 100 years)

In addition, each individual starter can join a team with at least four drivers and thus take part in the team competition. In the team classification, the best four drivers are included in the classification on each individual stage.

The BIKE Trans Germany travels through the most beautiful mountain bike areas in Germany and Austria, changing every year.

Fair

At each stage, a trade fair will be set up around the start and finish area, where the drivers will receive their first refreshments after reaching the finish. In addition, they can obtain replacement material and accessories as well as a bicycle service from the exhibitors. Spectators and visitors can also find out more about the bicycles and accessories from the exhibitors.

Supporting program

An evening pasta party is part of the race. Here the drivers can exchange information about the daily stage and watch the pictures and videos of the day. The briefing for the next stage also takes place at the pasta party . In the destination of the BIKE Transalp the place finisher Party instead. At the party, every driver who has completed all stages within the specified framework will be given the finisher jersey .
