Contrast stripes
Since August 29, 2012, graphic elements in different colors on the traffic signs can be separated by a contrasting strip. Furthermore, the red traffic signs can be provided with a white contrast stripe on the outline. Such a contrast stripe ensures that the traffic signs are more easily perceived by color-blind people . Blue signs have been provided with a white border for years.
