Birgitta Maria Siefker-Eberle (born December 15, 1954 in Gothenburg ) is a German diplomat . Most recently, she was ambassador to Jordan from September 2015 to July 2020 .

Life

From 1973 to 1975 Siefker-Eberle studied Middle Eastern history and Arabic language at the American University of Beirut , then from 1976 to 1981 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn , law , where she was a research assistant at the Chair of International Affairs from 1981 to 1982 Was right.
