Birgitta Siefker-Eberle

Birgitta Maria Siefker-Eberle (born December 15, 1954 in Gothenburg ) is a German diplomat . Most recently, she was ambassador to Jordan from September 2015 to July 2020 .

Life

From 1973 to 1975 Siefker-Eberle studied Middle Eastern history and Arabic language at the American University of Beirut , then from 1976 to 1981 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn , law , where she was a research assistant at the Chair of International Affairs from 1981 to 1982 Was right. Birgitta Siefker-Eberle was married to Rainer Eberle and has three children.

career

From 1982 to 1984 Siefker-Eberle completed an attaché course at the Foreign Office in Bonn , after which she was accredited as a consultant for politics, law and consular affairs at the embassy in Damascus until 1986 .
