The Bistrița in Romania

The Bistrița ( German  Bistritz ; Hungarian Beszterce ) is a right tributary of the Șieu in Romania .

It rises in the Călimani Mountains , flows through the town of Bistrița and flows into the Șieu at Sărățel . The river has a length of approx. 70 km, a catchment area of 612 km² and (shortly before its confluence with the Șieu) an average flow rate of 7.28 m³ / s.

The Bistrița is dammed in the upper reaches of the river and forms the Colibița reservoir .
