The Diocese of Bafatá ( lat. : Dioecesis Bafatanus ) is in Guinea-Bissau location Roman Catholic diocese based in Bafatá . Its territory includes the regions of Bafatá , Gabú , Quinara , Tombali and Bolama .

history

The diocese of Bafatá was established on March 13, 2001 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum ad fovendam from cedings of territory by the diocese of Bissau . First Bishop was Carlos Pedro Zilli PIME .
