The Roman Catholic Diocese of Chicoutimi ( Latin Dioecesis Chicoutimiensis , French Diocèse de Chicoutimi ) is in Canada situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Chicoutimi .
history
The Diocese of Chicoutimi was on May 28, 1878 by Pope Leo XIII. built from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Québec and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On May 31, 2007, smaller parts of the area of the Diocese of Amos in the area of the village of Obedjiwan were incorporated into the Diocese of Chicoutimi.
