The Diocese of Lolo ( lat. : Dioecesis Loloensis ) is in the Democratic Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Bumba .

history

The diocese of Lolo was founded on February 22nd, 1937 by Pope Pius XI. Established from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of Buta as Apostolic Prefecture Lolo . On July 2, 1962, the Apostolic Prefecture Lolo was by Pope John XXIII. raised to the diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Ut singula . The diocese of Lolo is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Mbandaka-Bikoro as a suffragan .
