The Diocese of Malaybalay ( lat. : Dioecesis Malaibalaiensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Malaybalay City .

history

The diocese of Malaybalay was founded on April 25, 1969 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ut commodis from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro as the Territorial Prelature of Malaybalay . The Malaybalay Territorial Prelature was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro as a suffragan . On November 15, 1982, the Malaybalay Territorial Prelature was raised to a diocese by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Decessores .

The diocese of Malaybalay includes the province of Bukidnon and the municipality of Wao in the province of Lanao del Sur .
