The Roman Catholic Diocese of Marbel ( lat. : Dioecesis Marbeliana ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Koronadal .

history

The Diocese of Marbel was on December 17, 1960 by Pope John XXIII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quod praelaturae from cessions of territory of the territorial prelature Cotabato as territorial prelature Marbel . The Territorial Prelature of Marbel was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro as a suffragan . On June 29, 1970, the Marbel Territorial Prelature was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Davao as a suffragan. The Territorial Prelature of Marbel was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cotabato as a suffragan on November 5, 1979.

The territorial prelature of Marbel was raised to a diocese on November 15, 1982 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Decessores .

The Marbel diocese includes the provinces of South Cotabato , Sarangani and parts of the Sultan Kudarat province .
