The Bistum Minna ( latin Dioecesis Minnaensis ) is in Nigeria preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Minna .

history

The diocese of Minna was on November 9, 1964 by Pope Paul VI. established from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Kaduna as the Apostolic Prefecture of Minna . The Apostolic Prefecture of Minna was on September 17, 1973 by Paul VI. raised to the diocese. On November 6, 1981, the Diocese of Minna gave up parts of its territory to establish the Mission sui juris Abuja . Another assignment of territory took place on December 15, 1995 to establish the Apostolic Prefecture of Kontagora .

The Diocese of Minna is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Kaduna as a suffragan .
