The Bistum Moroto ( lat. : Dioecesis Morotoensis ) is in Uganda preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Moroto .

history

The diocese of Moroto was on March 22, 1965 by Pope Paul VI. Erected with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo Christ from cessions of territory from the diocese of Gulu . On May 20, 1991, the Diocese of Moroto gave up parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Kotido .

The diocese of Moroto is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tororo as a suffragan .
