The Roman Catholic Diocese of Terni-Narni- Amelia ( Latin Dioecesis Interamnensis-Narniensis-Amerina , Italian Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia ) is in Italy located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Terni . It reports directly to the Holy See and belongs to the ecclesiastical region of Umbria .
history
The diocese was founded in the 2nd century and merged on April 12, 1907 with the Diocese of Narni, a diocese from the 4th century, after which it was called the Diocese of Terni and Narni . After the bishop had become permanent apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Amelia since 1973 , on September 13, 1983 the diocese of Amelia was merged with Narni and on September 30, 1986 the name of the diocese was changed to Terni-Narni-Amelia .
The patrons of the diocese are Saints Valentin , Juvenal , Firmina and Maria.
