The Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo ( lat. : Dioecesis Toletanus in Brasilia ) is a in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Toledo in the state of Paraná . It covers the western part of the state.

history

Pope Pius XII established the diocese on June 20, 1959 with the Apostolic Constitution Cum venerabili from cession of territory of the diocese of Foz do Iguaçu and was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Curitiba as a suffragan diocese.

It lost parts of its territory in favor of the establishment of the following dioceses:

On October 16, 1979 it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Cascavel.
