The Diocese of Yarmouth ( Latin Dioecesis Yarmuthensis , English Diocese of Yarmouth ) was a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church located in Nova Scotia , Canada .
history
It was formed on July 6, 1953 from the Archdiocese of Halifax , whose suffragan diocese it was afterwards. From 2001 the diocese no longer had its own bishop, but was administered from 2002 by the Archbishop of Halifax as Apostolic Administrator . On December 7, 2011, the diocese was finally united with the Archdiocese of Halifax.
