life and career
Brown was born on March 24, 1988 and grew up in Atlanta. His previous musical influences include OutKast and Johnny Cash . However, he was mainly interested in country music .
Initially, Brown worked as a producer for artists such as Chris Brown , Fergie and Pitbull . In April 2019 he released his debut single The Git Up as a singer . Only a little later, the song reached viral attention on the TikTok platform . In the line dance style , it is characterized in particular by explicit instructions for the individual dance steps. Characterized by Country- and rap elements, it is the successor of the successful Old Town Road by Lil Nas X designates. Both songs are assigned to the genre country rap . In August 2019, The Git Up reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 . At the same time, the song also made it into the German charts.
