Blue Planet Prize
The Blue Planet Prize is an award given by the Asahi Glass Foundation and has been awarded since 1992. It is awarded to personalities who have developed significant approaches to solving global environmental problems. The prize is endowed with 50 million yen (currently approx. 395,351 euros). It is considered to be the most important international award for pioneers in sustainability research .
