Bohol-Panglao International Airport , also known as New Bohol International Airport , is a new airport on Panglao Island in Bohol Province , Philippines . It replaces Tagbilaran Airport to cope with the growing number of passengers due to tourism.
The airport was opened by President Rodrigo Duterte on November 27, 2018 and has been open to commercial flights since November 28, 2018, 12 hours after Tagbilaran Airport closed.
