Dabrun is a district of the city of Kemberg in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Dabrun is about 8 km southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg on the Elbe . Melzwig, Boos, Rötzsch and the residential area of Dabruner Weinberg are identified as districts of the municipality.
history
Dabrun was first mentioned in 1353 as Dobrunn . In the Thirty Years War in 1637 about half of all peasant farms were destroyed. Around 1847 there is a winegrower's house and vineyard on the Dabruner Riss . Rötzsch is first mentioned in a document in 1349, at that time Vorwerk von Dabrun. The first mention of Melzwig goes back to the Elector Rudolf II in 1361, in 1507 it becomes a university village. In 1388 the district of Boos was mentioned as half a Vorwerk.
In 1934 and 1962 archaeological excavations took place two kilometers east of Dabrun. The remains of Slavic settlements from the Middle Ages were searched for.
In the years 1598, 1655, 1830, 1845 and 2002 Dabrun was affected by the Elbe floods, in the first four of them with dike breaches.
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent community of Dabrun was incorporated into the city of Kemberg together with the communities of Eutzsch , Rackith , Radis , Rotta , Schleesen , Selbitz , Uthausen and Wartenburg . At the same time the administrative community Kemberg , to which Dabrun belonged, was dissolved.
Buildings
The manor Dabrun was first mentioned at the beginning of the 16th century when it came into the possession of the Augustinian Hermitage in Wittenberg . Today's manor house has been preserved in a reduced form and dates from the Renaissance.
The brick church was built in 1897 as a replacement for the previous building that was destroyed in the fire. The Renaissance tombs of various landowners are worth mentioning.

Dabrun is located on the K 2020 district road between Pratau and Globig-Bleddin . The federal road 2 in Pratau, which connects Wittenberg and Bad Düben , is approx. 6 km from the town center.
