Uthausen is a district of the city of Kemberg in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

Uthausen is approx. 15 km southwest of Lutherstadt Wittenberg .
history
Uthausen was first mentioned in a document in 1308 .
Uthausen was affected by the persecution of witches from 1662 to 1676 . Two women got into a witch trial . Maria, widow of Friederich Naumann, the former miller, was reported by the pastor in Radis in 1676.
During the GDR era, the VEB vaccine factory in Dessau-Tornau maintained a company holiday camp .
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent community of Uthausen was incorporated into the city of Kemberg together with the communities of Dabrun , Eutzsch , Rackith , Radis , Rotta , Schleesen , Selbitz and Wartenburg . At the same time, the Bergwitz administrative community , to which Uthausen belonged, was dissolved.
Regular events
Every year at the beginning of August the Uthausen Tower Festival is held. There is also a lantern parade in autumn and the Easter bonfire on the Easter weekend.

The federal highway 100 , which connects Wittenberg and Graefenhainichen , runs on the outskirts. Call buses line 345 of the new Wittenberg bus services connect Uthausen weekdays with the stations Gräfenhainichen at the railway Wittenberg and Leipzig / Halle and Bad Schmiedeberg on the railway line Pretzsch-Eilenburg .
