Brad Burym (born May 29, 1975 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a former German - Canadian ice hockey player who was last active for the Füchse Duisburg .

Career

Burym played in his youth for the University of Manitoba in the CIAU and after the end of his college days moved to Örebro IK in the Swedish Division 1 for the 1997/98 season . For the 1998/99 season , the defender signed a contract with EV Duisburg from the then second-rate German Bundesliga , but after this season played for the next three years in the ice hockey league for the Ratinger Ice Aliens , the EHC Gelsenkirchen , the ESC Erfurt and the EV Landshut .

For the 2002/03 season , the Canadian was signed by ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League , for which he was active for three years. As Burym the 2005/06 season for the time being to the Hannover Scorpions changed, he was still during the season from the Kassel Huskies recruited, but the end of the season in the 2. Bundesliga descended. With the “Huskies” Burym dominated the second division, but the Kassel team lost the play-off final in the first second division season and only achieved the second division championship title and thus promotion to the DEL in the following season.

Burym's contract with the "Huskies" was valid until the end of the 2008/09 DEL season . The following year he played for the Herner EV in the upper league before he signed a contract with the upper league promoted EV Duisburg for the 2010/11 season .

In September 2011 he ended his active career due to an injury.
