Breinigerberg is a district of Stolberg (Rhld.) In the North Rhine-Westphalian city ​​region of Aachen with 917 inhabitants (as of 2017).

The L 12 connects the town to the west with Breinig and to the east with the Nachtigällchen junction west of Mausbach . In the east, next to the Stolberg city forest, there is the Schlangenberg nature reserve , which includes the former Breinigerberg ore mine . The name of the Bleiweg street still reminds of the time of ore mining . The Schlangenberg Information Center is located in a building of the Hauptschule, which was closed in 1988 and which now houses the kindergarten. To the north of Breinigerberg are the nature reserves Auf der Rüst , Bärenstein and Brockenberg , which were created from former quarries .

sport and freetime

The place has two sports fields (lawn and ash) that are used by the local sports club FC Breinigerberg . There is also a carnival club and a rooster club, which organizes the rooster fair every year.
