Liester or the Liester is a western district of Stolberg (Rhld.) In the city region of Aachen , but not an official district. It lies on a ridge between Büsbach in the south and Münsterbusch in the north. In the east lies Oberstolberg in the Vichttal. The Liester was reclassified to Stolberg in 1935 together with the municipality of Büsbach.
Today Liester is a purely residential area and an important location for utilities. The Stolberg Municipal Comprehensive School, the Goethe Gymnasium and the Gradopark are located here.
The Catholic parish is called St. Hermann Josef.
The next junction is Aachen-Brand with the A 44 . AVV bus routes connect Liester with almost all other parts of Stolberg, as well as with Eilendorf and Aachen- Mitte.
