Bremedia production
The Bremedia Produktion GmbH is a media production company in Bremen, the main productions and personnel management of the public institution Radio Bremen takes over. All relevant trades for film / television, radio / audio production and online are combined under one roof at Bremedia GmbH.
In 2006 Bremedia was founded as a production company for the public broadcaster Radio Bremen by the same company and Bavaria Film GmbH . She is responsible for the technical implementation, production and broadcasting of Radio Bremen. With a cross-media approach, Bremedia Production produces films, television broadcasts and radio programs of all kinds, documentaries, feature films, advertising films and image films and realizes websites. The development of material for all formats is also part of the portfolio. In addition, Bremedia is a technical service provider for outside broadcasts, streaming and live broadcasts with the help of its OB vans.
Since 2005, the Bremen Tatort and Germany's oldest talk show " 3nach9 " have been produced by Bremedia. The daily news magazine “ buten un binnen ” is also produced in the studios on the Weser .
Heidi Bruns and Jan Schrader are the managing directors.
History and structure
Bremedia Produktion GmbH, which was founded in November 2005 as part of a public-private partnership , started regular business operations on April 1, 2006. The company has been a 100% subsidiary of Radio Bremen since September 2018. Previously, 51 percent was held by the broadcaster and 49 percent by Bavaria Film GmbH . Bremedia works “trimedially”: film and television, radio and online production.
Bremedia currently has around 280 employees.
