Brian Richard Walter Bradley (born January 21, 1965 in Kitchener , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who played 664 games for the Calgary Flames , Vancouver Canucks , Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay during his active career between 1985 and 1997 Lightning has played in the National Hockey League on the position of the center . Bradley, who competed twice in the NHL All-Star Game , was part of the Canadian national team at the 1988 Winter Olympics .
Career
Bradley spent his junior years with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League . Here the scouts of the Calgary Flames became aware of him and selected him in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft in the third round as 51. At the Central Hockey League Playoffs he was brought into the farm team for the Colorado Flames . In 1985 he became Junior World Champion with the Canadian team.
After another year in London, he was part of the Calgary Flames squad from the 1985/86 season , but eased only five appearances in the NHL. Mostly he played on the farm team at the Moncton Golden Flames in the American Hockey League . After the team had many strong attackers in the squad and they didn't think much of his defensive qualities, he decided to switch to Team Canada to take part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary .
Shortly after the Olympics, it was given to the Vancouver Canucks . There he proved himself to be a playmaker and power play specialist. In the course of his fourth season, however, he was given to the Toronto Maple Leafs to bring defender Tom Kurvers . After the end of the coming season, the Leafs did not protect him and so attacked the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1992 NHL Expansion Draft . Bradley was by far the best scorer in the new team in the first 1992/93 season . With 86 points he had 30 points more than the second best scorer. His mark of 42 goals has not yet been exceeded by any player wearing the Lightning jersey. He was Tampa Bay's top scorer for the next three seasons. In 1994 he played in the NHL All-Star Game . On November 11, 1997, he pulled a shoulder injury in a game against the Los Angeles Kings , which ended the season for him. In the coming season he had not overcome the consequences of the injury and only played 14 games. After another year without a service in the NHL, he announced his resignation on October 23, 1999.
