Brian Joseph Dunn (born January 8, 1955 in St. John's , Newfoundland ) is a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic Coadjutor Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth .

Life

Brian Joseph Dunn was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Grand Falls on August 28, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 16, 2008 auxiliary bishop in Sault Sainte Marie and titular bishop of Munatiana . The bishop of Sault Sainte Marie, Jean-Louis Plouffe , ordained him episcopal on October 9th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Raymond John Lahey , Old Bishop of Antigonish, and David Douglas Crosby OMI , Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador .

He was named Bishop of Antigonish on November 21, 2009, and inducted into office on January 25 of the next year.

Pope Francis appointed him Coadju Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth on April 13, 2019.
