Brigitte Beier (actress)
Brigitte Beier (born October 24, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German actress .
Life
Beier is the daughter of press illustrator and caricaturist Alfred Beier-Red .
She made her film debut at DEFA in 1964 in Heiner Carow's film drama Die Hochzeit von Länneken . In this literary adaptation based on the novel by Herbert Nachbar , she played the fisherman's daughter Bärbel Pröpping, who, together with her great love, the young fisherman's son Henning Grabe, campaigns for a fair distribution of fishing grounds among all fishermen. In 1971 she played the role of Maria Ritter in the political drama Verspielte Heimat, directed by Claus Dobberke . The director Kurt Jung-Alsen engaged Beier in 1971/1972 for the role of the Jew Recha Fain in the Holocaust miniseries The Pictures of the Witness Schattmann , a film adaptation of the eponymous autobiography by the writer and graphic artist Peter Edel .
She was then seen in many feature films until the 1980s. These included: The legend of Paul and Paula , the children's film Moritz in the advertising column, and the family films The School Ghost and The Dispute over the Donkey's Shadow .
On television she was mostly seen in crime films, for example in several episodes of the Polizeiruf-110 series, starting with Kollision (1977), The Last Customer (1987) and Destroyed Hope (1991). In a similar format, the public prosecutor has the floor , she also participated several times.
She also played a role in the series Spuk unterm Riesenrad and Drei von der K.
