The Town of Brooklyn is located in southern Wisconsin, around 35 north of the Illinois border . The intersection of the three states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois on the Mississippi is about 140 km to the west-southwest. The southwest of the town is traversed by the Sugar River , which is part of the Mississippi river basin via the Pecatonica River and the Rock River .

The Wisconsin State Highway 92 runs in a west-east direction through the north of the Town of Brooklyn. The eastern border of the town is formed by Wisconsin State Highway 104 . In addition, the County Highways C, E and X run through the town. All other roads are subordinate country roads and some unpaved roads.
The nearest airport is Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 40 km northeast).
