Bruno Oberhammer

Bruno Oberhammer (born May 28, 1946 in Gaißau ) is an Austrian composer , organist and music teacher .

Life

After graduating from the Humanist Gymnasium in Bregenz in 1965, he studied music education , piano, organ, composition , history, philosophy / psychology and musicology in Austria, Switzerland and Germany . He also completed many years of organ studies with Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini and Konrad Philipp Schuba , which was followed by master classes with Alain Curtis , Ludwig Doerr , Flor Peeters , Pierre Segond and Bernard Lagace .

From 1977 until his retirement, Oberhammer worked as a professor for organ and composition at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory in Feldkirch and as an organ virtuoso and organ improviser.
