  • Bua is one of the fourteen Fijian provinces (yasana). It is located in the west of the north island of Vanua Levu , making it one of the three northernmost provinces. It covers an area of ​​1.379 km². In 2017, 15,466 inhabitants were counted. This makes it the fifth smallest province in terms of population.

    Bua is administered by the Bua Provincial Council . The chairman is currently Ratu Filimone Ralogaivau .

    Bua also has one of Vanua Levu's major ports. The port is in Nabouwalu and has a jetty . The place is to be declared as a separate municipality, but this was postponed in January 2020 due to incomplete planning.
