The Central Division is one of the four divisions of the Pacific state of Fiji . It consists of the provinces of Naitasiri , Namosi , Rewa , Serua and Tailevu and is located in the central part of the national territory. It consists of the eastern part of Viti Levus , the largest island in the state, and some offshore islands, for example Beqa . The total land area of ​​the Central Division is 4093 km².

The province has a land border with the Western Division and sea borders with the Eastern and Northern Divisions . The capital of the province, Suva , is also the capital of the state. The 2007 census counted 342,386 inhabitants in the Central Division, of which 212,580 iTaukei (indigenous Fijians) and 103,133 Fiji Indians .
