Northern Division (Fiji)
The Northern Division is one of the four divisions of the Pacific state of Fiji . It is made up of the provinces of Bua , Cakaudrove and Macuata and consists of the islands of Vanua Levu , Taveuni and several smaller islands in the area.
The Northern Division has a land area of 6199 km², the capital of the division is Labasa on Vanua Levu. The 2007 census counted 135,961 inhabitants in the Northern Division, including 75,358 iTaukei (indigenous Fijians) and 52,844 Fiji Indians .
