Buch am Ammersee (officially: Buch a.Ammersee ) is a district of the municipality of Inning am Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg .

The church village is located southwest of the core town of Inning on the east bank of the 46.6 km² Ammersee . State road 2067 runs on the eastern edge of the village and the A 96 to the north . The 4.34 km² large Wörthsee extends to the east .

Former parish

With the beginning of the formation of political communities in the first half of the 19th century, the municipality of Buch came into being with its three villages: Buch, Bachern and Schlagenhofen . It belonged first to the district office of Munich on the left of the Isar , was reclassified in 1880 to the district office of Munich II , and in 1902 came to the district office of Starnberg . The renaming from Buch to Buch am Ammersee took place between 1950 and 1961. The municipality of Buch am Ammersee was incorporated into Inning am Ammersee in 1975 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
