The Buckower See and Luch nature reserve is located in the area of the municipality of Milower Land and the district town of Rathenow in the Havelland district in Brandenburg .
The approximately 153 hectare area, a lynx with the identification number 1221, was placed under nature protection by ordinance of May 22, 1998 . The nature reserve with the 42.8 hectare Buckower See extends north of Großwudicke , a district of the Milower Land community , and southwest of Steckelsdorf , a district of the district town of Rathenow . The state road L 97 runs northwest of the area, the L 96 northeast and the B 188 south .
The nature reserve is part of the larger FFH area Buckow-Steckelsdorf-Göttlin, which also includes the nature reserve Puhlsee and Trittsee-Bruchbach .
