Austrian Equestrian Federation

The Austrian Equestrian Association (OEPS) is the umbrella organization for equestrian sports and horse breeding in Austria . The international name is Fédération Équestre Nationale d'Autriche , or FENA for short.

The OEPS is the recognized Austrian professional association for equestrian sport by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) and the Austrian Federal Sports Organization (BSO).

The Austrian Equestrian Association was founded in 1962 as the Federal Association for Riding and Driving in Austria and later renamed. Its seat was originally in Vienna - Simmering and was relocated to Laxenburg at the end of 2016 .

The OEPS consists of nine regional associations. He represents the following eight FEI equestrian sports dressage , para-dressage , jumping , eventing , endurance riding , driving , reining and vaulting .

He is also the representative for the following disciplines: horseball , mounted games , orienteering , polo , riding in the side saddle , equestrian fourfighting , western riding and working equitation . He represents the Haflinger , Icelander , Small Horses & Ponies , Noriker , Thoroughbred Arabian sports divisions .

The president is Elisabeth Max-Theurer (as of May 2020).
