The State Office for Trade, Industry and Trade , then State Office for Trade and Trade, Industry and Buildings , then the Federal Ministry for Trade and Trade, Industry and Buildings ( BMHGIB ) was the Austrian Ministry of Trade , Trade , Industry and Public Building from 1918 to 1923 , and primarily concerned with the reorganization of the economy after the First World War .
Historical development
The Austrian Ministry of Trade and Commerce was founded in 1848 in the Austrian Empire as the Ministry of Trade and Public Works , and was continued as the Ministry of Trade and Economics from 1861–67 . After the equalization in 1867 , a trade ministry was responsible for the Austrian part of Austria-Hungary ( Cisleithanien ).
With the creation of the republic after the First World War, the ministry continued. It was established in the Republic of German-Austria on October 30, 1918 in the Renner I state government as the state office for trade, industry and trade . At the same time there was a State Office for War and Transitional Economics (himself State Secretary), a State Office for Public Works and one for Transport (which had been established as the Imperial and Royal Railway Ministry in 1898). In consequence Cabinet (Renner II) March 15, 1919 as a state office for trade and commerce, industry and buildings named, it took over the public works . With the creation of the Republic of Austria (during the Mayr I state government ), it was designated as the Federal Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Industry and Buildings on November 10, 1920 .
Under Seipel (Second Cabinet) it was transferred to the Federal Ministry of Trade and Transport (BMHV) in 1923, including transport issues. Subsequently, the agendas in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and - after a time as the Ministry of Nationalization - in today's Ministry of Infrastructure .
