Krefeld constituency

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bundestag constituency of Krefeld was a federal constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1949 to 2002 . It included the city of Krefeld . When the North Rhine-Westphalian constituencies were redistributed in 2002, its area was divided into the newly formed constituencies 111 Krefeld I - Neuss II and 115 Krefeld II - Wesel II . This reallocation caused great resentment in Krefeld. Complaints against this constituency division were brought before the Federal Constitutional Court from various quarters, but they were all dismissed.
