Hansheinz Hauser (born June 23, 1922 in Krefeld ; † May 11, 2020 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Hauser was born the son of the master baker and later mayor of Krefeld, Johannes Hauser . After attending primary school and the church boarding school in Neuss , he completed an apprenticeship as a baker in Krefeld, which he completed in 1939 with the journeyman's examination. Immediately afterwards he completed an apprenticeship as a pastry chef in Cologne , which he also completed in 1941 with the journeyman's examination. From 1942 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

After the end of the war, Hauser helped rebuild his parents' business. In 1947 he passed the master's examination in the bakery trade and had worked as an independent master baker and confectioner in Krefeld since 1956. At first he was chairman of the state association of small and medium-sized enterprises in North Rhine-Westphalia, from 1985 to 2002 he was president of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Crafts and from 1989 to 2004 he was chairman of the Rheinisch-Westfälischer Handwerkerund and Nordrhein-Westfälischer Handwerkstages (NWHT). In addition, he was involved in several associations and self-help institutions ( BÄKO ) in the bakery trade.

Hauser had been married since 1956 and had four children.

Political party

Hauser joined the Junge Union (JU) in 1947 and joined the CDU in 1949. From 1951 to 1956 he was district chairman of the JU Krefeld and from 1966 to 1968 chairman of the CDU district association Krefeld, of which he was elected honorary chairman in 1999. In addition, from 1969 to 1994 he was chairman of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsvereinigung (MIT) of the CDU Rhineland and North Rhine-Westphalia and from 1972 to 1995 deputy federal chairman of MIT.

MP

Hauser was a council member of the city of Krefeld from October 1964 to September 1999. In the state elections in 1958, he was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament, to which he was a member until his resignation on December 7, 1972.

From 1972 to 1990 Hauser was a member of the German Bundestag . He represented the constituency of Krefeld from 1976 to 1980 and from 1983 to 1990 and entered parliament in the two other electoral periods via the state list of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1974 to 1990 he was chairman of the SME discussion group and from 1982 to 1990 deputy chairman of the Union parliamentary group . He was also a member of the Bundestag economic committee.

Public offices

Hauser served as Lord Mayor of the city of Krefeld from May 31, 1968 to January 14, 1982. From 1968 to 1985 he was a member of the main committee of the German Association of Cities , from 1974 to 1976 Chairman of the Association of Cities in North Rhine-Westphalia and from 1975 to 1982 Vice-President of the Association of German Cities.

Other offices

From 1977 to 1986, Hansheinz Hauser was chairman of the Rhenish Bakers' Guild Association . From 1985 to 2002 Hauser was President of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Crafts . From 1989 to 1993 Hauser headed the North Rhine-Westphalian craft association as President of the Rhenish-Westphalian Crafts Association, and from 1993 to 2003 chairman of its successor organization, the North Rhine-Westphalian Crafts Day. Hauser was a member of the Presidium of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) from 1985 to 1993.
