The castle Hohenberg , also Upper Castle , Castle High Castle and villains tower called, is a ruin of a hilltop castle at 427  m above sea level. NN in the town of Horb am Neckar (Bußgasse) in the Freudenstadt district in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built around 1300 as the "Upper Castle" at the highest point in the city as part of the city fortifications.

From the former castle, the keep , the so-called rogue tower , with some remains of the wall and castle garden is still preserved. The "rogue tower" served as a prison in the 18th and 19th centuries and has been used as the clubhouse of the Swabian Alb Association since 1973 .
